On Friday 28th April, BA and MA Fine Art students visited Heather Philipson’s studio in London, Hackney. Heather spoke about her practice and experience of producing and developing work in the public sphere, this was followed by a lively and engaging discussion with students.
We then went to SPACE studios Mare Street to see Jonathan Baldock: My biggest fear is that someone will crawl into it. We met with Fiona Fieber, Head of leaning at SPACE who spoke to us more about the exhibition and what SPACE do as an organisation.
We then headed to Cell Projects which is near by to see the group show Perverts and were lucky speak with it’s curator Tim Steer.
We also managed to stumble on some hidden exhibitions on are way between galleries such as Rachel Whiteread Place (Village) at the Museum of Childhood and Richard Serra’s public sculpture Fulcrum outside Liverpool Street Station.
